How Can Keep My License After Arrest?

Posted by Amy Morell | Oct 25, 2019

Being arrested for a DUI is a scary experience.  The Officer actually takes your photo driver's license and gives you a pink piece of paper that is very thin and flimsy. This is your license for 30 days.  A DMV hearing needs to be requested within 10 days of the date of arrest. The DMV will then mail an additional temporary license that will be good pending the outcome of the case.  As of 2019, there is an option to avoid any suspension time for first time DUI's that are not refusal cases. Simply install a breathing device, get enrolled in DUI and get additional car insurance on file with the DMV.

Call Amy Morell and she will explain it all to you. 510-293-9440
